Based on a little piece of equipment designed by Tom Whitwell by Music Thing Modular called the “Turing Machine”. In Tom’s words, the Turing Machine is:\r\n\r\n“a binary sequencer, based around a 16 bit memory circuit called a shift register. It’s a sequencer that you can steer in one direction or another, not one that you can program precisely." Without going into all the details of what it does and how, at its core is the ability to set the probability that each note in a repeating sequence might change.

Sonata in B Minor, K. 87 | Domenico Scarlatti (1685 - 1757) | 10 | 12:23 |
1. B Minor | |||
Izan Cantero Herrera, Piano
Born in Spanish-ruled Naples to an opera composer father, Domenico Scarlatti spent most of his life as a composer in the Portuguese and Spanish courts. His 555 known sonatas, originally composed for the harpsichord (and perhaps fortepiano), have become a staple of the late Baroque keyboard repertoire. The slow yet moving K. 87 sonata showcases the composer\\\'s contrapuntal and melodic writing at its finest.
Etudes, Op. 72 | Moritz Moszkowski (1854 - 1925)
2. G Minor | |||
Izan Cantero Herrera, Piano
Moszkowski\\\'s second etude in G minor presents itself as highly-technical, implementing arpeggiated patterns, scales and hand switches that flow into each other seamlessly. The challenge thus lies in achieving fluency and accuracy while performing at a high speed.
