Sonata in F major k.280 | Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 - 1791) |
|
Anna Gao, piano |
The first movement of the sonata is in sonata form The second movement is a siciliana, a baroque form usually in a minor key written in a slow 6/8 or 12/8 time with lilting rhythms, making it somewhat resemble a slow jig or tarantella. This is a form which Mozart would later revisit in the slow movement of his A major piano concerto (K.488). The sonata ends with a presto (sonata form) in F major. |
