The first of the Three War Sonatas, the sonata was first performed on 8 April 1940, in Moscow by Prokofiev himself. The fourth movement is written in the form of a rondo.

6 Etudes de concert, Op.35 No.2 ‘Automne’Cécile Chaminade (1857 - 1944)

Automne is the most recorded program among Chaminade’s etudes. It has a traditional romantic style of Franz Liszt and Frédéric Chopin. It’s a delicate study of piano, with cantabile theme at the beginning and the end and a ‘full-on Liszt’ manner in the middle section.
